Indian Air Force has finally announced AFCAT 01/2025 notification on its official website. There is a total of 336 vacancies are available for various posts. The registration process will open on 02 Dec 2024 at 1100 hrs and close on 31 Dec 2024 at 2330hrs.

Indian Air Force has officially announced the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 01/2025 notification. Indian Air Force is inviting the application from unmarried male/female eligible candidates for various branches. Aspiring candidates can take this opportunity and fulfil their dream to join as a part of Indian Air force.

Registration process and important dates

The application window for AFCAT 01/2025 started on 2 December 2024 at 1100 hrs, and will be open till 31 December 2024 at 2330 hrs. Candidates are required to complete their application and fee payments before the given deadline to avoid last-minute rush.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility criteria’s for various branches under AFCAT 01/2025 are as follows

Flying Branch:

  • Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at the10+2 level or a B.E./B. Tech with a minimum 60% marks.
  • Age Limit: 20 to 24 years as of 1 January 2026 (age relaxation of up to two years for holders of a valid and current Commercial Pilot License).

Ground Duty Technical Branch

Educational Qualification:

  • Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics): Minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level and a four-year engineering degree.
  • Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical): Four-year engineering degree in relevant fields.
  • Age Limit: 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2026.

Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch

  • Administration and Logistics: A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60%.
  • Accounts :  B.Com degree with at least 60%.
  • Age Limit : 20 to 26 years as of 01 January 2026.

NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch)

  • Educational Qualification: Must have NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ Certificate.
  • Age Limit: 20 to 24 years as of 01 January 2026.

Meteorology Entry

  • Educational Qualification: B.Sc. with Physics and Mathematics with 60% or equivalent.

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure comprises of four steps :

  1. Written Examination: AFCAT examine the knowledge and aptitude of the candidate.
  2. Air Force Selection Board (AFSB): The candidates who passed the written exam, they shortlisted the candidates and call for Air Force Selection Board.
  3. Document Verification: The candidates who passed the Air Force Selection Board, required documents verification.
  4. Medical Examination: In the final stage as per medical examination is done according to IAF medical standards.

Physical Standards

Candidates are advised to keep themselves mentally and physically fit before reporting at AFSB. They required to run 1.6 Km in 10 minutes, do 10 pushups and 03 chinups during the exam. If they are physically capable then they can give their better performance during training period.

Pay and Perks

Flight Cadets will receive a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100/- per month during one year of training. After the training they will remain in pay band of Rs. 56100 – 177500 with MSP of Rs 15,500/-pm including free accommodation, Education allowances, HRA, Flying, Transport, Technical, Field, Special Compensatory (Hill area), Special Force, Siachen, Island Special Duty, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Area and Remote Locality Allowance, etc.

An application fee of ₹550 is applicable to all candidates. Payment can be made through online methods such as credit/debit cards, net banking, or UPI.
