The Indian Army has announced the commencements of the 35th JAG (Judge Advocate General) Entry Scheme. The applications are being invited from unmarried male and female law graduate candidates. This prestigious opportunity is open for law graduates who aspire to serve the nation through a legal career in the Indian Armed Forces. Application process JAG 35th Course :
Interested candidates can submit their application through the Indian Army official website at joinindianarmyarmy.nic.in. The deadline of the application submission process is November 28, 2024. There are a total of eight vacancies available, of which four are men and four are women.
Eligibility criteria’s :-
(i) Age : Candidate should be between 21 and 27 years of age, born between 02 Jul 1988 and 01 Jul 2004.
(ii) Education Qualification: Applicants must have completed LLB degree (03 year/05 year program) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
(iii) CLAT PG Score: Candidates are mandatory to possess a CLAT PG 2024 exam score. Performance in the CLAT PG exam plays a significant role in the shortlisting process.

Selection Process :
The selection process for the 35th JAG Entry scheme involves a 4-stage process.
1. Shortlisting of Applications : Candidates applications will be shortlisted based on their performance in the CLAT PG 2024 exam. Good score achievers have higher chances to move on to the next step.
2. SSB Interview : Shortlisted candidates will have a 5-day SSB (Service Selection Board). The SSB process examines the various aspects of the candidates, like mental aptitude, leadership skills, and compatibility with the army’s values. The SSB is a comprehensive assessment that tests both individual potential and group dynamics.
3. Medical Examination : The candidates who pass the SSB test undergo the medical tests. Which evolves the whole body check-up under the Army Formation Hospitals.
4. Final merit list : A merit list will be finalized for appearing candidates based on their marks achieved in all tests.
Training :

Candidates who clear the merit list undergo the 49-week rigorous training program held at the
Officer Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. After the final selection, candidates will get commission in the Indian Armed Forces in the JAG branch in high formation in Indian Army.
Salary and perks after commission :
After commission as Lieutenants, candidates will receive a basic salary of Rs 56,100 per month, in addition to Rs 15,500, along with various other allowances. The overall salary of lieutenants in Indian Army Rs 56100 to 1,77,000, offering a rewarding carrier in service to the nation.
