NDA is a great career for youngsters. In which you can get a government job at a very young age. You do not need to work very hard for this. Basic criteria for selecting in NDA. It gives opportunity to young boys to serve their country and do something better for their own country.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality: Indian citizen

  1. Age:
    • 16.5-19.5 years (NDA I) and 16.5-19 years (NDA II)
  2. Education:
    • 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board
    • Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) mandatory for Army and Air Force
    • Physics and Mathematics mandatory for Navy
  3. Marital Status: Unmarried
  4. Physical Standards:
    • Height: 157 cm (157.5 cm for Air Force)
    • Weight: Proportionate to height
    • Vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other (correctable to 6/6)

Qualification Requirements:

Army:

  1. 10+2 or equivalent with PCM
  2. Minimum 60% aggregate marks

Air Force:

  1. 10+2 or equivalent with PCM
  2. Minimum 60% aggregate marks
  3. Minimum 60% marks in PCM

Navy:

  1. 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics
  2. Minimum 60% aggregate marks
  3. Minimum 50% marks in English

Selection Process:

  1. Written Exam (UPSC): 900 marks
  2. Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview: 900 marks
  3. Medical Examination
  4. Document Verification

Written Exam Pattern:

  1. Mathematics: 300 marks
  2. General Ability Test (GAT): 600 marks
    • English: 200 marks
    • General Knowledge: 400 marks

SSB Interview:

  1. Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) and Picture Perception Description Test (PPDT)
  2. Stage II: Psychological Tests, Group Testing, and Interviews

Medical Standards:

  1. Vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other (correctable to 6/6)
  2. Hearing: Normal hearing
  3. Blood Pressure: Normal
  4. Body Mass Index (BMI): Normal

Application Process:

  1. Online application through UPSC website
  2. Application fee: ₹100 (₹0 for SC/ST candidates)
  3. Exam centers: Across India

Training:

  1. 3-year course at NDA
  2. Cadets receive a stipend of ₹21,000/month
